don't know how well this will work but here goes.

me and sum of my mates at uni absolutely love thrash metal and we were discussing which album is metallica's best out of master of puppets and ride the lightning. after track by track analysis we still disagreed. my personal opinion is that generally master of puppets takes the cake, but depends on what mood i am in.

Other thoughts?

Not sure I would class metallica as Thrash, but I'm getting OT there heh

If this is limited to the 2 albums I would say Master of Puppets also, *but* I prefer their later stuff more, and you can't beat ther self titled album!

Kind of drifted a bit after that, Load was ok, but took a few listens to get into it properly, and Reload was a bit pants to my mind

"Ride The Lightening" because half of those tracks were written by the mighty Dave Mustaine.

Megadeth over Metallica any day for me!

my vote goes to master of puppets

more of an anthrax, megadeath, & pantera fan myself...
