yes i know i have another topic going, but something else occured to me to peak my curiosity
does a DJ ever spin 7" vinyl?
do they throw that in just the same? n hit the 45rpm button on their deck?
what's the deal with that? :)

once i was in this record store, and there was this techno record, and it was a 45. like so you'd have to put the meatl thing in the hole to be able to play it :P

maybe it was a stupid question?? i dunt know these things though *shrugs*
i was just thinkin back to any time i've seen a DJ spin, and it's always 12"
i just wondered if there was any particular reason

Most records are pressed on 12" vinyl because you can fit more more music on the record and the qulaity of the pressing is much better. Theoretically a DJ could play 7" vinyls but as hardly anything is pressed on this format any more than it's very unlikely you'll see it happen.
So there. 
Would Tommy Kirkwood, and Lynne come to the surge tent out front immediately, this is proper urgent.

You Do Get A Few 10" Vinyl's Still Such As DHSS, And A Few Uf The United Dance Choons Were Originally Pressed On 10".. The Trouble With These Are, The Record Is Lighter And It Is Generally Harder to Mix With Smaller Records.
Plus, Chances Are The Grooves On Teh record Are A Lot closer together, Which Means They Can Scratch A Hell Of A Lot Easier.
12" Is Miles Better.

Yeah I've seen really really rare gabba tunes (like 100 copies) pressed on 7" ... I think you can only have about 4 mins on one side at 45 to make it sound any good....
