Long post?????........That was a freaking story "chapter 1"...
Took the time though to read it...and I agree with you...
And yes, I think we all would know who the true artist are(you're sure to be one of them)
By the way, even if they commercialise it...there will always be the underground stuff,
underground will never go away...so let there be no worries anymore
So everybody chill and relax!!!
I like the Bass to go BOOM!!!

well said, look what hhc has been through in the past and survived?
there is no way on this earth that commercialisation will badly effect hhc>
you never know, it could encourage dj's to play all the original versions of whatever tunes become effected by commercialisation........

I think some of the recent trance/pop remixes of hardcore tunes have been crap but it encourages dj's to play the orignal versions which are usually better. I remember when the remix of "N-trance - Set Ya Free" came out all the dj's were playing the new version and now most dj's play the orignal version because they realised it was way better. It's our job to make sure people know that these remixes were originally hardcore. I don't think it's wrong for other artists to borrow our ideas as long as they give us credit because after all a lot of Hardcore Anthems were remixes of music from other genres so it's about time we gave a little instead of just taking. If hardcore gets commerical then there will be some good songs and some bad, just like there are today. You can listen to it and if you don't like it then you don't have to buy the cd. I personally think that the online music industry is beginning to crush the old music industry which is controlled by a small number of companies so it is important that Hardcore should establish itself on the net before all the others do. The more producers there are the more good music will be made, as long as they don't screw with the basic style of our genre.

dj_heavinly: before you post you should know what you are talking about, it's a cover version, and you should read the author's (BANG!) comment on the entire thing on the first page of this topic.
http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3376&ARCHIVE=&whichpage=1 it explains all in fine detail. ---------------------------------- you, me and hardcore forever.

Pop just takes its gay suposedly 'soulful' vocals and sticks whatever is the biggest underground sounds beats under them. Yesterday it was RnB, today its House. Its gonna be drum and bass next...and then what?

have to agree with djjum and heist too. yes commercialism can be very bad(oh so very bad!), but at the same time it offers exposure. By the time commercialism moves on to the next genre of the week the people that really love the original style of music will still really love it. Isn't that whats important?

Commericialism can be bad but can also be good...
I remember in 95/96 when Bonkers 1 (Classic) came out. I had been listening to hard for 3/4 Years Previous to that. Stuff on Knor/Rotterdam/Evolution and Ruffneck. However, When Bonkers 1 came out ( I was still at High School) EVERYONE was talking about it!!. Man, It was great times Anthems like Hixxy - Thumper and F&S - Wonderland were heard everywhere!!. Then you had the great times of getting the newest tune on Essential Platinum/Next Gen/ Babyboom and listening to QUALITY Happy Hardcore!!.
I know that alot of you don't like these 'Cover Versions' Of Tunes because it does rip off Happy Hardcore Classics. However, I have noticed that in the past 8 - 10 months ppl have been coming into 23rd Precinct and embracing HHC! :). Asking for the lastest in Spanish Hardcore and old Classic Happycore!, and this is from ppl who have only been Djing for less than a year!!.
So these Cover Versions do have 'Some' Advantages!. However, Don't forget where this music has came from and you can say that Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Gabba and old Skool are and will always be the basis of Modern Hard House, Hard Trance and Trance music!!!.
Happy Hardcore isnt just Music It's a way of life for me! and I'm proud to Admit that!!.

there r sum bad points to hhc goin commercial, but y get stressed about it...theres not much you can do to change it,if u look on the positive side instead of the negative: its kinda what it needs, loadsa gd djs hav given up hhc bcos theres no money left in it
you will still have your music to listen to, and shud b proud that the songs, lyrics etc were good enuff 2 b used 2 b remixed, if ya dont like em dont buy em n stick with the origional stuff :)

well.....even bad publicity is publicity.
heres the way i see it:
a week or so before flip & fill's shooting star is released, it gets airplay.
people listen to it, some like it, some LOVE it, some hate it.
people who like it could download mp3s of it on the net, but JUST BY SEARCHING for "shooting star" you WOULD get the happy hardcore version.
people who havnt even herd of HHC, and know naff all about it could download it, and they like it. they could then play it to other people and they could also like it. If that workes then public demand would be quite high.
the ORIGINAL BANG(!) VERSION IS WANTED.
in my opinion, bang should have requested that the origional version is to be put on the CD/Vinyl -OR- have a 2 CD/vinyl. one with F&F's version on with CJ Stone/stimulant Djs etc. mixes on, and the other with the ORIGIONAL HAPPY HARDCORE VERSION with the unique remix (or any other)
(by the way: i am not too impressed with flip&fill's shooting star anyway : lyrics seem TOO DAMN SLOW!!!)

i heard that the original bang! version of shooting star IS actually appearing on the commercial release of Flip & Fills version. BUT i cant be sure, i think that was just a rumor. Also the video to Blaze! - Til The Day has now been completed and will appear on the CD release of the track, if all goes well that is!
