No problem, just don't agree with you that CD1 isn't very good. I didn't realise I'd made out that there was a problem... :s

i have to explain to people what hardcore is and i think its gonna stay that way even if four albums get in the charts. just because the albums are in the compilation charts doesnt mean hardcore will get huge (it basically is). there have been many artists in the compilation charts who have been useless. basically im trying to say whoop de doo if it gets in the charts but id rather people on television and radio talked about it more. and if they played one song on radio 1 that was remotely hardcore in peak listening time i would be more pleased than if hardcore got in the charts 24/7

it wont ever die if we keep feeding more and more talent into it, and allow hardcore to evolve and become more progressive :D

I thought artists releases were based in the album charts! (compilations are albums of a lot of artists on one release) and I would say that 4 albums of any one Dance genre in the charts at the same time would get a response from at least one person in the UK who hasn't heard it before to take note! Also even though Cillit Bang is slated by most hardcore lovers, it has actually been on a couple of times on Radio 1 in the prime time shows (Chris Moyles ect)

Seriously though, i'm having mixed feelings because although there'll be 4 hardcore albums in the chart, they're mostly pretty weak imo as far as representing hardcore goes.
I haven't bought any of them, and have no immediate plans to do so. Having so many albums beong released has made me more choosy - meaning i buy less!
I just pray that the quality of the tunes doesn't continue on this downhill slide - cover after cover, remix after remix.
The only people making original tunes are the ones who don't get featured on big selling albums enough!
No, hardcore won't die this year - but hopefully the sound will go in different directions, with the fresher sounds standing on their own 2 feet instead of being overshadowed by useless charty remixes.
Says it all there really...
As always, never expect any less from Mr Dean

So the general veiw is that the four albums in the charts aren't really worthy of beeing there when considering the other hardcore compilations there are out there? So what do people think should be in the charts? Quite a few people have given praise to 'Hardcore Underground'. What else would you want in the charts?

Really couldn't care less. "The charts" are not and never have been a reflection of what's good and what isn't. It's just a list of the stuff that teeny boppers are following at the time... generally dictated by clever marketing.
