Had a good night.
Me and Dee were there in time for opening after a quick blast down the M1
The venue is a nice little club, and after being a Total Bedlam regular i knew exactly what to expect.
Went upstairs to the main room to catch the first set of the night from Scratch.E. Excellent tune selection, going from upfront to happy Hardcore and even a bit of Ruffneck to finish the hour......I'M THE F*** YOU MAN!
After going downstairs to the bar (which also featured funky house all night), we were back upstairs for one of the sets i was most looking forward to - Yorkshire legend Martin Space.
An hour of quality harder edged upfront hardcore went down a storm with the small crowd who were already well up for it. Martin ended his set with his own vinyl release (along with Devastate & D-Jam) 'Numb' and what a tune it is, using the old linkin Park vocal to great effect. One for the collection when it's released on Distinctive vinyl in a couple of weeks time.
Next up, my favourite set of the night.
The Birkenhead boys, Dave McRave & MCD (also known as djdeano on HH.com) absolutely smashed it!!!
Brilliant tune selection - including loads of upfront DJ Kurt tunes, and deano's own productions - made this an hour to remember and MCD's MC'ing was a real pleasant surprise! These 2 are definitely future stars.
After running downstairs into the bar (with my fingers in my ears) and saying a few hello's, it was back upstairs to catch Ben Xtreme's set. Another hour of quality DJ'ing (with top MC'ing from promoter MCKeyes) including Ben's own tune 'Looking down' and some other new stuff.
Unfortunately, it was time for me to leave then so i missed Lee UHF's set (gutted) and never got to see Storm, but overall a good night that deserved a bigger crowd than it got.
Will definitely be back there soon. December line up is excellent and this time there's a Hard room!
Bring it on!!!!!
