Nope. They all have different specs which are suited to different tastes and style of mixing.

Great carts, but after havin them for a while got pi**ed off with them skipping when doin scribbles so i tried out the shure m44-7's.
Never look back! there cheaper, louder, hold the groove miles better than the elektros at half the weight, and when i compared between them and the ortofons i really couldnt hear any difference in sound quality, exept a tiny bit more bass with the shures which is hardly noticable, not a bad thing!

had mine for over 6 mths never skipped unless a. not balanced correctly or b. scratch in record. Altho i dont scratch much so that might explain it.
xenochrome sorry if i was wrong just going on what i heard. someone told me the carts where white as they were part of the female series or something.

No need for apologies. We're all friends here, mate.
I do a fair amount of scratching on my Elektros and have never had a problem. I do tend to keep the weight a bit more forward than normal, though. It's just a habit I picked up since using the Concordes.

Yeah they are fine for most scratchin, i just had a problem with scribbles and fast stabs ( i think thats what their called!?). I had mine set on 4 g's but with the shures i have them on 2- 2.5 g's and they never skip and thats less record wear. Iv jus found evrything is better about the shures exept one thing its harder to see exactly where the needle is on the shures so its harder to find a particular spot on a record in a hurry!!
Do really wanna try the qberts tho!!
