ok... go here...
http://www.finrg.com/index/media/dj_mixes/ and download! DJ Rx - SonicRadio Dj set Listen To The Start Of The Opening Track! Great style of emotion there... its pretty much very close to my style of music! Now its the break I'm highlghting! that distorted breakbeat!!! for those not bothering to download! its baiscly the same kidna effect thats used in the intro to Metal Gear Soild 2! its also used in alot of hollywood films! I've always wanted to be able to produce that kinda sound... Ever since i first played MGS2 and orgasuming over the intro credits!!! its such a wikid ambence sound that would fit greatly if i incorparated it into my music! as being a film producer aswell... its just the perfect sound i need to learn! I'm sat here now having a little mess about! But does anyone know, or could give me any tips and advice as how you would go about creating that kidda effect on a beat! it would be great :D cheers Thanks sooo much in advanced....

http://cmt.siba.fi/studies/Courses/2001-2002/VST/plugins/CMT_Bitcrusher/_code/CMT_Bitcrusher.zip use it in a send channel so the original sound still comes through, and put some reverb in a send channel to before bitcrusher (only very light reverb). use the sample rate reduction, and some bit reduction maybe aswell.
