Also, it took more than just inverting the colors since there's code that has to be changed as well as details you couldn't have made look better had I asked. I even tried making it not look like shit. Good winamp skins are one in a million, and you should have brightened your skills before spending a month working on something a skilled graphics designer could make in six hours.

The staff review was right, this IS one step above automated, and only one.

i really don't give a flying f*ck what the winamp staff think of it tbh. but obviously like you said there are designers out there that can design and make a skin way better than mine (but i doubt that they can do it in in 6 hours though as it takes about a month to make one). that's what they are, designers and they were making skins for winamp before i even owned a computer.

i'm not a designer but my skills in photoshop (which i used to make the skin) are exceptionally good after learning to use the program in college as well as some tutorials over the internet, but i rather a nice plain simple display to a really advanded complicated design that most 'skinners' do

and if you actually took the time to read the one of my post i said and i quote...

quote:
i should do a v2.0 with a few improvements though, there was some stuff i wanted to do to it to make it look cooler than it is now but i didn't have the time as it was taking too long to do along with working and other shit.

so there you go, did you read that, there is going to be a second version of this skin but way better than the current one but i don't have the time yet. it takes at least a month or more to make a nice winamp skin but when you work for a living it's hardly a priority to do it.

but if you don't like my skin and you think you can do a better job than me then i challenge you to make your own skin from scratch for this site and post it here at the end of the month.

also one last thing...

My name's not on it, Sherlock.

so some other guy named sanity wrote 'SANITY WAS HERE' in the readme file then?

/rant over

Some college course, you got ripped off. No it does not take a month to make a craptastical winamp skin. You obviously had alot of troubles along the line and became frustrated to the point of not wanting to work on it anymore, then stopped the project until the next day, etc. I don't see any other way a skin like THAT could take an entire month to complete.

As for the shout in the readme, you should take the time to notice that everything you had previously typed above it IS STILL ABOVE IT. Your credit is still there. Leave it to the privacy of an internet forum to turn what could be potentially nice people in real life into angsty, fire-breathing jerks when it comes to messing with their work. Let's get this straight, having your name on something will grant you no extra privledges anywhere. You won't be getting into any special VIP room and women wont be all over you because you made a terrible winamp skin. I would have never ASKED you to do something I could do on my own, I don't need your damn permission to edit files on my computer, and as for the respect portion of it, I could give a **** who mistakens me as the original creator simply because it has my alias in the readme and I'm NOT sorry for imposing some idea into your mind that I was trying to steal credit by making a lighter skin that looks better based on yours and still leaving your name on it.

who the f*ck said that i wanted extra privledges. if you think its shit, then why are we even arguing over this? you clearly think that i can't make a good winamp skin then fair enough, i suck in your opinion but at least i showed this site something i can do. after this stupid f*cking argument i don't think i'll bother with a v2 skin or any winamp skin from now on.

and btw i am angsty, fire-breathing jerk and i don't give a shit

EDIT: sanity, i wish to apologise to you, i didn't mean any offense. i've been really emotional for about the last two weeks and i didn't intend to take it out on you, sorry.
