how about having a post for discussing old skool only on the site! The helter Skelter albums have proved really popular, and for younger people on the site it could give them loads of ideas for finding the older stuff! (and also i love my Old skool) so would love to talk about it somewhere!

The Hardcore section is about hardcore....all types.
I too love the older stuff and stick to it like glue, But don't think there is any point in having a seperate area. Waste of mods and silvers time to be honest.
Could get into a whole rant about Nu skool / old skool but it's been done too many times now. Let the people differ.

as above- I have suggested gabber forums and if were to have an old skool then we would end up with needing a Freeform forum, Upfront, Sppedcore ect and these forums would be used too much.
And does this mean old skool mean Hardcore from 1988-1993 or Hardcore up to 2000? This makes some people confused and alot of people now think that Happ Hardcore is old skool. I also agree with Old skool and Happy Hardcore being popular since the re-relese of Bonkers and other old skool albums. In some ways it might be more popular now than it was back ten years ago!

imo an oldskool discussion post would be good, not so much oldskool hardcore but just oldskool along the lines tom wilson (R.I.P) use to play, as me personally i wouldn't really class that as hardcore but early rave music
i mean classics like,
toxic two - rave generator
tom wilson - technocat
ultrasonic - obsession
TTF - Real Love
general bass - back again
I could be wrong but i don't really class that kind of tunes as hardcore although back in the day they got played at fantazia and the rezerection events and i think at lot of the younger people that come on this site probably aint ever heard any of it

Old skool in all forms of hardcore from way back! Up to 97 becuase after that it started to die! (including gabber ect) and why is there a forum for talking about other forms of dance music on a Hardcore site but not for old skool! doesn't make sense! and then people go on that post and slag off people for liking other forms of dance music because it ain't hardcore!

Hardcore is Hardcore - pigeon-holing music into genres does more harm than good.
