what is a midi file on fruity loops as i know you can input them but i carnt seem to find any because i dont no what it is

A midi file is a file that contains purely data, in this case; notes. This data is sent to a midi device (a synth in this case), and then that synth would play the notes in the midi file.
So if you have the midi file for a song, that midi file would contain all notes in the song, and so you wouldn't have to work them out for yourself :)
