Anyone have any good links to sites that explain basic theory behind them? I'd like to understand them better, I want to know why when I do something it has the effect it does if you follow me... Any help would be appreciated :).

I've got the hardware version (rackmount version), and for the price it sells it's definately worth getting imo. It's analogue aswell. But you'd need to be able to program it well to get the most out of it. As with most synths the presets are extremely limiting.
You should be able to get a demo version of the software version, so you can judge for yourself if it's worth getting for you :)
