..about music production and the other about DJ equipment
First off, what is a good starter-program with which to produce music with?
What would you recommend to someone who has never produced music before?
and ze other question: would you buy this sort of package?
2x Numark Axis 4 (398€, £275)
2x Numark TT-1650 (318€, £220)
1x Numark 2050 (99€, £68) (that's the mixer)
total price: 815€ (£560)
if not, any recommendations? =)

I noticed your stuck in between CD'J's and Turntables.
If youd like to instantly be able to produce THEN mix your tunes, you'll want CD-J's. Any particular reason you can't decide between the two? And that mixer would work just fine for your application(s)

not stuck in between, I'm thinking of getting them both
or would it be better to first get cdjs and then vinyls? or vice versa
(to master one sort and then the next)

Well. if youve got the money to buy BOTH id suggest goin Vinyl first. You'll quickly understand the need to learn to beatmatch and i believe youll have an easier transition to CD'J's than vice-versa.
Most (not my model though) CDJ's do not have a touch sensitive stop on the platter on top. Meaning that "releasing" your finger on the song will not start the song just like vinyl will. Instead of pressing "start" or "cue" all the time on cdj's you can get used to beatmatching with vinyl by (what most members like to call) "feeling the music".
at least thats my take on it. :D someone might disagree. time will tell.
Either way...Good luck bro. Id be excited.

I agree with Tunnelrush - if you can get better CDJs instead of the Axis4s then do! I've got an Axis 8, and I wish I'd waited to get one with a touch sensitive rotating platter.
I also wouldn't get the Axis 4, its very basic! Get hold of the turntables and learn the basics, but I'd save up and get better CDJs at some point int he future unless you really have your heart set on getting some now.

Know any good (and sort of cheap) 'touch sensitive rotating platter"?
is Axis 9 such a player?
Problem with turntables is that I have to import the vinyls to Finland, and that will be quite expensive.. =/ But I believe the feeling is much better with vinyl than with cdj.
As with turntables, would the Numark TT1650 do the thing for me? (stupid question, but I had to ask it). They don't cost that much.
And I've heard that Numark mixers' lifespan are very good, is it true?

So can one "feel the music" with a cdj, that has touch sensitive thing?
As I read from your signature you have Axis 9, right? Are you able to feel the music with them?
Lots of question...

Yes, these models are touch sensitive.
Thats why you might catch me trying to defend CDJ's when Vinyl Jockeys say 'TEHH cdjayys arent lyke my vinyl cuz you cantss feels tha musik!" lol
if i can find a website or something to host my video. i have about 1 minute and a half of video of me showing the quick response this thing has to my touch. Makes me SORTA feel like im doing it the vinyl way. But you wont catch me saying that this is better than vinyl.

444€? now is that cheap for a 18-year-old student? ;)
And tunnelrush, you could always use www.yousendit.com for the time being.
Would you recommend the Axis-9? The price for them are about the same as Pioneer cdj-100.
But anyone know any good music producing program, which is good for starters? =)

Well, those pio's look nice. But it says right in the description that its "Closer to a turntable" feel. Not really. That little jog dial does adjust pitch/tempo and allow for quick finding of cue points. But when you touch that dial. the music wont stop.
Mine stop at any touch as long as its in its "scratch" mode. I can turn off that 'scratch mode' and make the platter so that it only adjust the tempo/pitch and NOT stop the music at my touch. (regular mode)
ill check out that link you posted to see if i can put a vid up.
EDIT: I checked out that website. Go ahead and send me an email addy and ill send you the vid of the 9's. The bass is super loud in this damn vid but youll certainly get the idea of why touch sensitive has that vinyl-feel (sure the platter is plastic, but you get what i mean :D)

There is a offer: 2x Numark Axis 9s for 535€/pair (£369) plus postage. He has used it for a year, only at home that is. And there is still a year guarantee...
I think I'll go for that offer, or what say you?

short vid recieved
That vid amazed me, I'm really into buying those Axis 9s
About the larger vid, how large is it? The reason maybe why you didn't recieve the Confirmation sent page is that the file wasn't maybe fully uploaded. For how long did you wait? Takes some time to upload things to yousendit.
But thanks for the short vid =)
