Hi guys.
quick Q.
When I have say 5 - 6 subtractors all de-tuned and config'd with different octives etc for a more broader sound........ is there a better way to sequence the notes than recording the notes for one of the subtractors, then having to copy and paste the notes to the other subtractor devices? because you cant really play in real time with all subtractors playing the note until you've stopped recording and pasted the notes for the other subs..
Using 2.5 I have to use a spider merger to route all the subtractors so i know its probably easier using the combinator in version 3.... but i aint got v 3 yet.
hope you get what i mean.
thx

I know what you mean mate, and yes getting Reason 3 and having the combinator is the best way to solve the problem.
There is a way you can do this though, but you can only play four devices at once. Here's how to do it.
#1 Go to Edit, then click on Preferences.
#2 Select the Page: Advanced MIDI.
#3 Click the drop-down menu for Bus A and select your midi controller.
#4 Do the same for Bus B, C and D. Then close the preference box.
#5 Go to the Hardware interface at top of Reasons Rack.
#6 Click the drop-down menu for channel one and select the first subtractor you want to control.
#7 Do the same for Bus B, C and D. Making sure they are all on the same midi channel.
Play your controller and all four subtractors should be playing, If they don't, check that you midi contoller is on channel 1.
A problem you will have now, is that midi messages will allways go to those devices, so if you try to play a different device, they will play with it.
It's been a while since I used 2.5 and I can't remember how I got around that, (It's early though, so I'll think about it)

Yeah buy a map.
MJ, nothing new from me mate, think the last track I finished was before christmas. I just can't seem to get them finished right now.
I'll catch you on msn sometime soon, just been busy.
