I recently acquired the Happy 2B Hardcore series, and was totaly blown away by it. Just wondering where I should go next, just like, what are the big names in happy hardcore, what are some of the best songs, and that sort of thing.
Thanks,

well start by getting yer hands on any of the bonkers compilations......my personal opinion is that 1 2 3 are the best but you and others will be diffrent....
some of the big names to me are :
Hixxy & Sharkey , Force & Styles , Scott Brown , Evolution , Sy & Storm and Dougal
all these DJ's rate very highly in my mind and if you listen to their stuff a think you'll agree
songs...if you browse the boards a bit you'll get to know some of the classics and anthems every memeber on here love so look about a bit and make a few list then see where you go from there........
if you have a set of decks surf sites like:
shop.happyhardcore.com
www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk
www.adrenelin.co.uk and

Dreamscape don't be such a moron. You see how he put =P after that? That means it was to be taken lightly. I'm sure everyone here knows that hardcore originated in the UK. As for our dj's being no where near as good or experienced as the UK dj's? Well, f*ck you retard. I've never seen a more ignorant generalization on this board; ever. Get a brain and some common sense before making any more of an @ss of yourself.

I'd like to agree with MCDJ
Bonkers is totally the next place to go!!!!
HTBH actually is in essence where i started... and it's good stuff, and it'll never collect too much dust on your shelf!
but in all honesty... bonkers is fan-freaking-tastic!
just get em all.. you know you want em ;)

Not That I Am Been Biast Here, Cos Im From The Uk..
However.. We Do Have Our Fair Share Of Good Hardcore Dj's..
I Wouldnt Go As Far As To Say Hardcore Orriginated Here In The Uk ( Who Can Forget All The Excellent Rotterdam Stuff ) However, I Would Say That You People In America/ Canada Etc.. Are Seeing A "Grown Up" Hardcore.. You Should Have Been Here To See The Birth !!!!
But Tha Main Point I Would Like To Say Is That Wheather You Are From Spain, Belgium, Rotterdam, America, Canada Or Indeed Japan.. Hardcore Has More Than Its Fair Share Of Top Class Dj's.. This Is Why I Think The Hardcore Scene Is On The Rise Again, Because It Is Hard To Ignore The Level Of Quality Hardcore That Is Been Produced Now.. Gone Are The Old 4 Track Samplers Of The Early 90's And Those repettitive Loop Samples, Hardcore Has Now Defined A Personality All Of Its Own, And I Think that Is Thanks to A Universal effort, Not Down to Uk Dj's Been Better Than American Djs Etc.. Its A Global Effort To Constantly Improve The Hardcore Scene And Buzz Off Its Happy Vibes !
Peace

Hardcore did originate in the UK. I'm talking as far back as 1989-90 when everything was just rave music. It's a fact not an opinion. As I understand it Dutch hardcore was influenced by a totally different range of music (like belgian techno) and didn't really come into the same scene for quite a while. My main point is just that to generalize that UK dj's are better and more experienced than US dj's is about the dumbest thing you could say.

quik note..
purefm is the man... global effort to produce quality music, s'what it's all about :)
and dudemar... ok.. granted.. i never BOUGHT a HTBH.. heh *looks around worriedly*
but... i wouldnt go so far as to say a waste of money
their still quality stuff, and as i've said before... a really good way for someone who's new to it, to get into the music.

Lixx, Hardcore Didnt Originate In Any Specific Country, It Was A Combination Of A Lot Of Scenes Coming Together To Form One..
You Mentioned UK Rave & Belgium Rave, Well There Used To Be A Heavy Ammount Of Drum And Bass Aswell As Acid House And All The Rotterdam Hardcore Stuff ( The Stuff That Gave You A Nosebleed If Your Speakers Were Turned Up To High! ) Im Not Sure You Can Class A Specific Country As To Where Hardcore Originated From, All I Can Say Is "europe" But You See Thats The Good Thing, It Dont Really Matter Where Its From, As Long As You Enjoy It Then It Has Served Its Purpose !
Ps, UK Rave Was Closer To 87 -91 !
i Do However Agree With You That It Takes A Very Smallminded Person To Say That Djs From One Country Are Better Than Djs From Another..
Just Do What I Do With People Like That Mate.. Look Upon Them As Silly Folk Who Dont Have a Clue About What It Means To Be Into Hardcore, They Are More Than Likely Into The Scene As To Look Good Infront Of There Friends !
Pathetic, But True !
