I had a drug induced epiphany!
I've been trying to teach people how to beatmatch, etc...

Last night I wanted to record a DnB mix, but only had one CDJ, two decks, and a bunch of hard house vinyl...

So I ended up using PCDJ with some daisychained soundcards and recorded with goldwave. haha i ran outta disk space half way thru, you can hear the pop and recycle bin empty (kinda funny)

Regardless, the end result is no PFL/eq's, so yeah the tracks I *know* mix pretty damn smooth, the ones I don't... well not so much.

My question is this: Should I release this stuff? Will it help people understand the beatmatching/mixing process if I include EVERYTHING ?

I'll post it here for now and based on feedback. My PLUR-ry aim is teach a shitload of people how to play. Wouldn't it be cool if DJ's dropped that shitty "DONT TOUCH MY DECKS" mentality and gave away their knowledge like cloudskipper ****in pops out mixes?

Got to agree with you on that one. I myself have a friend (unbelievable I know but it's true, he can talk and everything) who is curious about how I mix tracks from one to another. So I've done my very best to try and explain, and teach him what I'm doing at certain points of the mix ect.

What I really want is to have two sets of headphones, so he can hear what I'm doing instead of just listening to the track thats being played. I think what I might do is hook up my pc speakers to my headphone socket, and let him hear out loud what I'm doing aswell as be able to hear the music thats being played aswell. It should be a fun little experiment.
