ok so from all the tunes ive heard they all consist of synths or pianos..mainly. im not sayin that this is a bad thing. its just somtimes i wonder what other instuments could be put to use effectivly. like violins flutes and other things like that or even more exotic stuff. there are one or two tunes that have this instumental variation like sharkey's(he rocks!) - sound assasin - wich i like. but this still consists of 'strings'.. i think that a litle more experimentation with this could add more variation to things. either that or im livin in a box. lol

Couldn't agree more! I love guitars in Hardcore tunes, stuff like Crash and that. I'm also workingin a tune right now that has a kind of picollo type sound (its actually synthesised rather thanthe real thing) and that sounds quite good. Real instruments can sound good when played normally, and then filters and effects layered up on top of it until it sounds nothing like th original.
I'm still waiting for some bagpipes ina track though!

Can't get enough of those electric guitars in The Awakening
I have always said it's Sharkey's best tune yet!

I have heard guitars in scooter's songs and nick skitz's guitar damage, which I guess come somewhere under HI-NRG, but I can't tell the difference. But I haven't heard of any guitars in any hardcore songs, I want to hear Black Mamba, but my only CD's are bonkers, pretty much.
Sharkey - The Awakening (Bonkers 5, Sharkeys mix)
DJ Quatro - Rock N Roll (Bonkers 2, Sharkeys mix)
DJ Sick and DJ Skeletor - Some ****ing More (Hellraider 5) which is a remix of the bond theme
those are just off the top of my head, im sure there are more, if i can think of any i'll post em

Sy & Unknown "Clap Your Hands Everybody" is a track where the actual track isnt that good, but the guitar part (at least i think its made with guitar) on the middle, oh my god, absolutely beautiful.

more tuba and more bagpipes
I love bagpipes, Perplexers "Acid Folk" is a great track. I always get shivers after the first 30 secs of the track, when the bagpipe starts going by the melody of the track :)

I like the very distant sounding guitar in the last breakdown of Northen Lights - Love of My Life (Brisk Remix), very Dire Straights, can't forget Helix & Tekno Dred - Noise & Music (Tune )
I've noticed V.A.G.A.B.O.N.D uses guitars quite alot, it does add something extra to hardcore, I know first hand that having guitars and such can turn people towards hardcore.
