Does anyone know any good program, where i could easily record vinyls to PC as wav format or other "lossless" format (Purpose would be to burn to CD the "lossless" format, and after that encode it to mp3 for regular listening). The software has to be quick to use. The program has to be available as CD-rom to be bought from store, I dont trust buying bytes yet.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0006LYIG0/qid%3D1120160194/026-6481029-7451603 Doesnt seem to have any of those Super-Ultra-DJ-Pack-Professsional Stickers in the cover, witch is always a good sign.

http://www.andymon.net/silent-bob-pro/english/index.html height=1 noshade id=quote> Ive tryed that few months ago, it didnt let me change the rec level while recording, so it was either no sound at all, or really distorted sound. So i had to record first, then listen if sounds good. Rather then just record/pause on, and adjust the rec level like in most "hardware" recorders.

i use an iriver. Jimni Cricket told me about it and it works great, and you can download hhc.com radio onto it from audiofeast *shameless plug*
But it works fine, comes with all the necessary hardware and software, and I got it for around $120 u.s. dollars.

The mp3 player? Never thought of that. Does it allow you to record straight to the player in digital format? If so then what are the formats it can record to?

once you record to the player, it is in the players format. but when you connect it to your pc and connect to the software on your pc you can choose which format you want to convert it to.

Ordered that Mixcraft program. Was originally going to order the cheaper version of Soundforge from US amazon, cause i ordered some books about Japanese architecture and interiors and an OST there, but crappy US amazon doesnt ship software outside North America. So had to order from UK amazon (more expensive), also got Paint Shop Pro, witch took a good 30€ nodge upwardes on the price, so went with the cheaper recording software... Thanks to all the suggestions, if the software works well, ill make a huge order on vinyl next month, I think i'm broke for the rest of this one :(

OK, today tested the program. First played around with the mixing, witch was pretty crappy. Doing 3 sec fades doesnt really qualify it as a mixing program. As without the timestreatch slider, it would be pretty hard to find the proper value to the beats match. Though found out that Tamaki Nami's "Heroine" sounds fantastic with 20% more speed :) Though it brought another problem, it only understands western alphabet. Witch is pretty shitty. I tryed at least with Japanese and Russian text, it was even worse with the Japanese tracks. Cause if i copyed the track, and deleted all the text from the tag, it still wouldnt add it if there were any folder/file with japanese text beside it. So i had to change the trackname/tag and copy it to a totally diffrent folder, that didnt have any files innit witch contained any Japanese text on the file name or tag. Though it wasnt as bad as with Sony's "Sonic Stage" program, cause that was a Japanese companys program.
As for the recording (witch i bought it for), its perfect, no extra buttons, took me about 2 seconds to find the right buttons how to record, when i first time tryed it. Also the program is very light witch was good too. Also took some screenshots, cause, well.... I'm bored :p
Recording Shadow K's "Flyaway, So Faraway...". Needed to press record, stop and save. Damn that was hard :)
After that with iTunes changed the files tag's to sync with my music library, cut the silent parts from the start and end, then recorded it to mp3.
Its an excellent program for recording. Though before this ive only tryed few free ones. Anyway thanks for the suggestion bulby_g :)

No problem mate, I have never really played around with other functions on the program as I only use it for recording so I can't really comment on them but it defiantely works well as a solid recording program and has a nice price tag.
