More questions about equipment lol! I've got a numark DM1050 mixer and the crossfader crackles. I know I can get a replacement X fader but are they easy to fit? Could i do it myself?

Yes. Unscrew the top. Remove fader then replace. Replace top.(Roughly)

you may try cleaning your contacts first. you could get a lil bit more usage out of it before it craps out.
and actually yes, most fader replacements are that simple. finding a phillips head small enough is usually my problem =P

you can buy stuff like "pro-gold' contact cleaner and such but first try with high alcohol content rubbing alcohol (as in get 90% instead of 70% if you can) and you might as well put some fader oil in your fader at the same time...
also, avoid cheap numark mixers like that when you can - their faders die quickly.
maybe invest in a better mixer when you can afford it
