Any advice on how to get a good Hoover sound out of Reason 2.5? Everything I keep trying sounds tinny and boxed, I want something with MEAT!
Also, are the hoovers heard in nu-style gabber usually run through some kind of filter to get that sound?

I'm a pure Reason man. To the point where I sample real synths and make NN XT patches...
What sort of hoovers do you want? I can make you some gurgly finnish creaks. I have an RNS to that uses like 12 subtractors to get a phat hoovery noize like an alpha juno. Add a bandpass filter, some distortion and some light compress so things doing get out of hand and your set.
