Three turntables would work just fine.

Most DJ programs only handle two tracks at the same time any production program would be able to play more, like Cubase, but it's not really built for DJing.
it's all hardcore.

http://www.djdecks.be/ lets you use up to three decks. you can also use final scratch timecode vinyl with it (without the need for the FS hardware). You need a decent ASIO multi-input soundcard tho. Think the latest version also lets you use vst effects live.

dont think tractor does...or i havnt found out yet
mixvibes however can handle up to 16 channels...so im using it....its pretty good for having lots of channels, but every other aspect is uter shite!
and so far i havnt actually found a way to increase or decrease tempo.
surely someone else has made a better attempt at this??
i might look into tractor again....just to make sure, coz its cool

Why on earth do you need 16 channels?

Mixvibes pro is the best if you already know how to DJ. It's the closet thing to a CDJ, and definity has the best feel/touch to it.
Traktor on the otherhand is like a toy. It's great if your only intention is to sit back and let it beatmatch/mix everything for you. No fun however.

lol...i dont need 16 chanels ryg0r...jst the 3.
my mixvibes looks nothing like that at all!! its a poxy orang box way to compact to scroll with! it certainly has more accesories in its defence....i just cant find a way to increase/decrease bpm to exactly what i want.
you seem to know a bit about it robstar...any advice?

There should be a slider somewhere that says tempo. If not, change your skin by going file/options/skin. If you don't have any other skins, download some. I'm using the Pioneer CDJ800 skin.
