Count the bpm on both tracks and adjust the pitch to match. Only joking!! It takes time mate and practice.

To start with try mixing only at the begining and the end of the tracks they probably have parts with just beats. (Don't own the two vinyl so i dont know for sure)

^^ wot he said

also record yourself and listen back to it. will definitely help you see what you're doing wrong and you'll improve much faster.
don't give up though. took me a good year before i could mix properly.

i dnt dj now coz i gave it up to produce 24/7 but i was a reasonable standard i think.this is wot helped me-first crank the first record up abit say 180bpm stick second record on put the pitch slider on the second deck exactly same position as first deck.listen and release slightly nudge to get them synqd and listen to which drifts down first.then just keep nudging and gently sliding the pitch slider up til ya get a near perfect match.i dnt care wot anyone says it wrked for meit il jus fall in place mate giv it time.i got them tips from a arthur baker article.

mj-dream remember the name im here for fame

Do know the thoery behind it? Do you know how to cue up a vinly and then release it on time?

Anyway, here's a demo I did to illustrate how to beat match 2 tracks together, and will hopefully give you an idea of what it should sound like. The first track's at a fairly slow 137ish bpm, while the second track is around 148.

http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~nunrg/boink/demo1.mp3

Now all I'm doing in the first 20 seconds is releasing the first track at it's cue point (I'm using CDJ's btw). Then I play track 2 and play track 1 on it's down beat. As soon as I hear it going out of step I stop it, slightly increase the pitch of track 1, and then play it again. Repeat until it sounds right.

http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~nunrg/boink/demo2.mp3

The second demo is using the jog wheel, so we don't have to waste time by stoping and playing it all over again. With practice (something I don't do much these days) you should be able to beat match tracks in around 25 seconds, with 99% accuracy.

All this advice is good but only if you know the 4/4 beat sets (which i hope you do).

www.quoshrecords.com Also has video tutorials about how to mix by the ever popular Sy ;). They were a big help when I first started. Then just practice, you have to find your own feel and your own method. Everyone has their own unique style and I think its just a matter of finding your own. Get to know the tracks your mixing well and experiment with them. Its all just a matter of time until you get it.
