Oh come on...
If you are willing to pay, why not buy acapella covers? There are plenty of places/people that offer that service for you and to dont have to mess around with sound cards/mics/insulation or anything at all :)

edit: cant u change male vocals into female vocals? There was a video of them changing female into male on a old issue of computer music mag..went for like 15mins

The reason I got amy was because we were good friends.
She liked the idea and did it for free  . I didnt have to advertise.
In anycase, if he IS willing to pay, pro acapella sites are great.
The other thing was, I was originally refering to his use the internet to find a vocalist. You're better off approaching a singer that you like. Internet is not good for those sorts of things.....

I'll second that. I've had vocalists approach me through my website asking for auditions etc..... I've had so many problems with them - not one of them has a professional attitude towards singing. Its more hassle than its worth. Either hire a proper session singer (do a search on the net) or use somebody you know, or use pellas.... its the only way!
