Just wondering what everyone else here is about fade's tracks (as well as some he co-produced) from a couple years ago..
stuff like stay here forever, fly with you (no not the scott brown track..), radio rockin' etc. . and also a newer release guiding light by impact & fade (the original).
IMO they are way better and bouncier and more like "happy hardcore" than the current fast-trancey stuff being made...

one of the reasons why they are not like the current stuff is because those tracks are not current, (well all execpt guiding light).
they might be more bouncy but i pose the question...So What? the old stuff is not like the current stuff suprise suprise, and fade has retired anyway

I love Fade's productions style..... nice and hard, with just the right amount of melody

I always loved Fade's dark pads. Those things get to me like nothing else :)

did you even read the question?
My point is that I prefer that stuff to what's being produced today (with the exception of some of the new next gen/blatant beats releases and a few other tracks....)
And i wanted to know how other people compared it to whats being made today...
I know fade has retired, and sometimes I wonder if he kept working and pushing his sound if hardcore would sound different today than what it does.

I wonder if he actually changed much of the sound.
The main pusher of the trancy sound was good ol' scotty with the last bit of the equazion series.
The masters of freeform, from the NEC, I think have helped push the sound too. Also, engineers like Stargazer and Oli G have pushed the sounds to different, energetic and euphoric heights.
And we cannot not so easily forget the innovation from Dougal and Gammer.
Thats not to say that Fade has done nothing, not at all, I love his stuff. But what did he do? How did he help hardcore change?
Please note, I'm not knocking Fade at all, I'm asking a genuine question.

at the time he produced a typical sound that next generation carried at the time. there are alot of artists that make progressive tunes and move forward with their music, then there are artists that make tunes that are just that, tunes, not really going anywhere or making a big dent in the scene. thats just my opinion.
don't stand and stare, just kick your legs in the air
