Guess it depends on what type of sound you're into.

The BONKERS series would be a good place to start.

the bonkers series is good because each dj on it has different styles. other cd series to look at are hardcore tsunami, hardcore heaven, original hardcore. tape packs are good to get because they have the latest material on them and come out like 2 weeks after the evnt happened. its good coz u can hear what stuff the djs are playin at the moment.
The top djs you will grow to love are djs like Sy, Scott Brown, Hixxy, Gammer, Seduction, Dougal, Breeze, Styles, Brisk, Sharkey, Kev Energy just to name a few. Oh yeah and i missed silver!!!
Look for mixes by those djs.

the best thing I can think of is to go on imorecords.com and search through the singles. when you find choons you like loock for compilations on there that have the particular producer/dj on them.
imo is wicked they sell and distribute 75% of the uk's hardcore, ther in with slammin vinyl (www.slamminvinyl.co.uk) so thev got tkts for most large uk events too.
if you like it bouncy an happy then look for quosh and and next generation records
if you like it full on and trancy then look for scott brown
more dark and trancy then look at raw elements and elation recordinz
i hope thats some help
