Is it a cd player that has speakers etc? If so then i'm pretty sure that Aux means Input. "Aux" word is never used in an output. So basicly, you cant connect it, if this is the case. Try read from the back if it has L/R output?

If you have a portable CD player then the only way is from the headphone soket to a line in on your amp, first put headphones into your cd player and check you can hear the music, then plug your lead into headphone socket and into an input on your amp. If you plug into the CD input on your amp make sure CD input is selected on your amp, volume is up and speakers connected. I'm assuming you use your amp, for other stuff and know it works.
If all the above seems fine it's down to your lead. Try moving yor lead around while playing a CD, if the wire is broken inside the you shound get bursts of music and crackles and stuff. Let me know how it goes!

sorry, understand now, lol. Plug a phono lead from your aux on your CD player to an input on your amp and play a CD. If you can hear the music through the amp then your CD player aux is an output and you need an input to record mixes.

Ok, so you have the mix on CD? ...and want to record it to a tape?
Hook your CD player to your amp, like when your listening. Hook your tape recorder to your amp (From amp's output, to tape recorders input). Put the CD on in the amp (so you can hear it from the speakers), and start recording with the tape recorder.

no. I want to record what I'm mixin on my decks on to tape. so I can give it to my m8. But I can't seem to connect my cd player to my amp so that it records, I can connect it so that it plays cds through the amp (connected by the headphones slot on the cd player to the amp).

How has everyone else connected their amp to tape decks/cd players??????

help!!!!!!!!!

decks go into mixer.

Mixer has 3 outputs. One goes to amp, one goes to PC, another goes to tape/hi-fi (although it should be a booth output)
