I know the basics, but nothing I try for really sounds Hardcore.
Just so you know, I use FL Studio 4. When I get a Mac, I'll definitely upgrade to a better program, although FL Studio usually does the trick.
Anyone have tips/ideas relating to, but not limited to:
-BPM
-sounds
-synthesisers/synth programs
-arrangement (coda, etc)
-lyrics (yes or no, and about what?)
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
If you really want to know how my current music sounds, PM me, but I only have my first couple of songs. All my newer (and better) stuff got wiped.
Thanks!
May peace be with you.

what does it sound like then? trance on 45?
try getting some kicks from a tr 909 & work out some hoovers off a juno. my favorite toy right now is a virus classic. also try adding some amen breaks or something...breakbeats do wonders for a track.
hardcore isn't about a specific bpm, just make sure the style you are going for accompanies the bpm.
lyrics are fine to use. just make sure if you "borrow" a vocal chop the hell out of it...make it so no one can distinguish what it is at first. I prefer to use samples and they pertain to anything...just listen to movies as you watch them. I usually come out with atleast one from every movie I've watched.
