Is "Do it Like We Do" a relativly new record compared to the others and did this fuzzy problem show up AFTER the needle changeout. If you've played the fuzzy records lots with the old needles, especially lots of times in the same night (or day) it could be that the vinly has worn to the shape of your old needles and has poor contact with the new ones. Just a guess.

The height adjustment is also reasonable. Be sure also that your needles are purpendicular to the groove. Look straight into the needle while its on a record and see if it looks tilted to one side or another...that would also affect sound quality but shouldn't really affect one record more than another.

Last thought: Do ditch the home stereo stuff, but really watch your levels if you're recording to cassette. The home equipment is usually set up to handle lower signal levels than your mixer prolly puts out. Wiggle all your connections while listening to see if you can hear any change and make sure everythings plugged into the same outlet or power strip.

Good luck!

im getting static (on higher freq. sounds like hihats etc) through my home stereo, but not thru the headphones... not sure if its the stereo's fault - i thought it might be the weight on the needles but if u make it too heavy wont it wear the records quicker?

definitely sounds like the weight on your tone arm is way out. set it all up properly (as in none of the weights on backwards and coins on the headshell) and see if that cures it. and make sure anti skate is at zero
