ok im about to get one or the other for christmas but im not sure which i wanna go with.
im kinda going with the pioneers but damn they cost soo soo much more.
all i need them for is mixing hardcore/freeform tracks along with my technics

haven't had the chance to play with the denon...have the cdj and really like it, I was looking at buying a numark cdx next...

i want the cdj but i think im getting denon also
$350 price difference and u can play 2 tracks on the same cd at the same time

how exactly does that work out to an advantage? if its all going through the same channel it seems like it wouldn't really be a practical way to mix, no way to really bring it in.

Ill give you my opinion..
Never used the dennon but from what ive heard its pure awesome.
The CDJ however i have used at many many places, and its super ****in reliable, and well built, the 800 isnt so well built (i have one) and is good, but the 1000 is solid, and a very very nice peice of kit.

well i went to guitar center to try out the denon pio's and the cdx
the denon and pios i wasnt able to test but i played around with them and i just didnt like how they felt.
and the winner is.

its an ok choice, i just don't like the size. used one before at guitar center too clunky for me. but yeah, numark is definitly sound.
btw where in the US are you located?

If you can afford it get the technics CD player... you will cream your pants... it's vinyl feel but your playing CD's...
But of the denon and pioneer, they are about the same... but most clubs have pioneers now so if you want to be comfortable with club systems (not saying you wont on Denon's but at least you will have the same system) go with the Pioneer.
