I had a go at the new technics CD players the other day and oh my god... they are amazing... they are better than anything else I have ever used for CD players, not only does the plator turn there is a metal record on the plate that will slip exactly like a vinyl record will...

If they did not cost twice the price as regular SL1200's or if I was starting to DJ now I would pick up a pair... totally rocking.

Only problem is that now there are CD-J DJ's that can't use vinyl and only can use CDJ's and without an option to switch to CDJ mode on the technics I can't seem them going main stream.

What are the standard CDJs now? The pioneer CDJ1000 I think.

Though I heard that the technics CDJ's weren't as good as the new denons.

Check out the DN-S5000

Looks sick.

^^^ It depends... if you looking for true vinyl emulation but playing CD's then technics CDJ is 10 times better than anything else out there on the market including the denons.

but...

Alot of DJ's use only CD-J mode even on the pioneers, they don't use the vinyl emulation mode... so thus the pioneers are now the standard for CD-J's.

I personally preferred the new Numark CDJ 's than the new Technics, though i've never properly played with the technics. I think the Numark's are nicer too...
