Chart popping world have hardly any idea of what great choons have come out of hardcore. But every so ofern they get a taste.

I mean take Let me be your Fantasy. Was first released in 91-92 and was a wikkid choon, but it did nothing in the charts.

It was rereleased with no changes done to it in 94 and it goes to number 1. (At least I think it did)

Same goes for Set Me Free which made a majour impact on the charts.

On a Ragga tip another 1 too.

Plus with DnB as well.

Orig Nutta
Boyackasha no idea how to spell that
Inner city by Goldie.

Just think its weird that sometimes underground choons pop up in the charts.

"Oh my goodness, Oh my Gosh. Here we go with a badboy rush."
"Oh my goodness gracious me, Badboy Dj, Wikkid Mc."

a lot of the cheezy stuff was entered like prodigy - charly and smart e's - sesame's treet, and smart e's - trip to trumpton. in fact quite a few of the old skool tunes were entered in the charts - the ones that every1 symbolises old skool with like liquid - sweet harmony, sl2 - on a ragga tip, baby d - let me be your fantasy and some of the older stuff like rozalla - everybody's free.

happy hardcore tunes were never gonna make the charts because they weren't intended as going overground and mainstream. it was and will never sell out like garage did.

i don't think drum & bass should have got into the charts as well, as that has always been very underground. m beat got heavily criticised from a load of people in the jungle scene for going on top of the pops (britsih chart show), etc.

sorry my mistake - before everyone gangs up on me to correct me

i meant urban hype - trip to trumpton, not smart e's. woops.

I hate the charts as well, they are so programmed, but ever so often a track gets in there that is good... Perhaps we should chart 'til the day :)
