.... as heard in In Effect: "back with a vengance" on b13 sharkey. it's not a new trick at all infact it's real old now but here's how you do it. load a distorted 909 kick drum into soundforge. goto Process>EQ>Paragraphic - then copy the settings like in the pic below
move the slider within the red circle to change the pitch (if you want to call it that. It's not really the pitch... just a sharp frequencey peak)
you get a KKKkkkkknggg!, KiiiiinnnnGGG! sound on your kickdrums! mad stuff!

I don't even bother going that far....
I get my distorted 909, put more distortion and then a high pass filter with even a bit of resonance. Then, I automate the frequency of the filter.
By far the best way....
