i just do it the simple way
use my ear,play the track over and over and play it back on my keyboard till the notes are right.

I played my friend the breakdown of ellysium and i asked if she could figure out the chords for me, straight away she turns round to the piano and plays it perfectly with added bits to the chords!! F*CK!
Ok heres the proper elysium
