Could someone advise me on some good synths for making hadcore and where i can get them from. I would prefer to just use software if it is possible to get the desired sound without using hardware.

The best all round soft synth i've used yet is the Novation V-Station :)
Another really good one is the Native Instruments Pro-53. Both good for Trance :)
