REALLY old records used to play at 78rpm but there's nothing around now at that speed.
You can have lots of fun with the speed settings though!

only one thing i think he missed out "Adjustable start/stop" (you can change the speed at which your deck plate starts and stops at on the TTX1's)

When i said OLD, i meant a lot further back than 10-12 years ago!
Just to put it in perspective - my Dad still has some 78's from when he was younger and they were hard enough to fing in the 60's/70's
Can't imagine there'll be many Hardcore 78's knocking about!
BTW. Everybody just look at that chart again and tell me why everybody still thinks Technics are the best decks around. I still own a pair but they hardly see the light of day anymore.
Industry standard doesn't mean best does it?
That's like me saying i'm the best DJ on the site because i've been doing it longer than most.

no industry standard doesn't mean best but technics build solid and reliable decks which there kind enough to include a life time garantee with and as with most technics equipment the 1210 range are a quality bit of kit. Also good to be used to them cuz you will use them if your playing out at party's. Will not knock the ttx-1's or the str8-150's as I havn't used either of them and have heard nothing but good things about them but I doubt I will ever be replacing my technics. Don't care much for all these pointless extra either removable cables would be nice but i'll live.

I think it's pretty stupid having 78 rpm & reverse on your deck's, there's no point to it.

the ttx1 are nice but i just think they pull way too much for my taste. i'm waiting to get me techs.
on another note, technics, spelled "T-E-C-H-N-I-C-S"
pronounced "tek' niks" correct?
I dont think I'm going crazy, but people try to correct me "tek' nEques"
I dont see any frickin "Q" in the spelling that would lead me to believe that my pronuciation is incorrect.

This is WRONG.... the MK5's have double pitch option to goto +- 16%
The MK4's have 78... If you really want it.
