This is an on going saga for me...I leanin toward logic cuz it is quite awesome, but it has alot of things i might not need...cubase caters to the more electronic music world...any thoughts. What ever I get will be runnin with a Virus C, and a power mac G5

Logic IMO is the canines danglies!!! Cubase seems too "comptery" and complicated for me..... I just love Logics simple interface, and if you are prepared to get into the complexities of the whole environment thing then you have one hell of a powerful package that Cubase can only aspire to be IMO.

Unfortunately I am on a PC so I am stuck at v5.5, but even though I will never be able to upgrade past this, unless another package comes along that can rival Logic I will stick with it!

Most people say Cubase because it's better, I say Cubase because it annoys the hell out of Underloop!

cubase is pretty straight forward if you've used a sequencer before, it's more of figuring out where and how all the options work. but i love it especially running reason through it at the same time

These are both good programs depends on which interface is easier.
