Hi,
In an attempt tp produce a hardcore track I have found a problem, what to do for the intro. Anything I try seems to be boring... :(
Also, what are the typical drum sounds used. Layering what with what? At the moment I have experimented with 100's of different combo's but nothing sounds right
Equipment wise i am using Cubase SX 2.1 and various analog/digital synths.
Any suggestions greatly accepted

how about a break beat, or just sum chords on there own or alot of gud tunes start simply with just the kik drum on its own (i fink this helps wen djs try and mix it in with other stuf, ive got sum decks ma self and i always find it easya wen there is just a simple beat at the start of a tune)
anyways, i hope ive helped and best of luk with ur music production

MSN is [email protected]
Yeh deffo start with just the kick + snare, hopefuly it will encorage DJ's to use it in mixes. Then if i move into a breakbeat before the 1st chorus. The original 24/7 is similar to that, if i slow it down enough i can work out the patterns used. As a drummer I find the drum tracks easy to create :D
I am experimenting with some arpegiated pattens for the intro, and I think I am onto something.
I need a session vocalist also, I am in 1st year of a composing using music technology in a music college so I could maybe find a vocalist there. I dunno tho it seems to be a specific style of voice which is used.
