Im looking to buy two monitor speakers (minimum 250W ea) and and amp to power them... possibly might get a sub in the future. Can anyone reccomend anything?

Are they for producing or for dj mixing? If they are for producing then get a pair of active monitors. There alot less hassal.

If you are looking for speakers for production, then I recommend the industry standards, Yamaha NS-10 nearfield monitors. I'm not to sure on the power or the frequency response, but my production tutor has been a sound engineer for over 12 years and has worked all over the world with bands and he says the are the best. Plus they are not too pricy. You need to take into account that whenn setting up a studio or PA system, it is the speakers that are going to be the most expensive pieces of equipment in the setup.

really depends on what your going to be using them for. like if they are for mixing, are you doing turntabilism type stuff or just straight mixing? or for production, are you are you wanting anything special that will pick up low frequencies or are you just planning on using a regular 4 beat?
