I will soon after 9 years of mixing be getting some new turntables.

I have the choice of Technics or the Vestax PDX2300

Has anyone used both?

Let me know

I've used the PDX2000's and I own Techs... I like techs better, but people who use the PDX's will say they like them better after you get use to it. I think the techs are built A LOT better as the PDX2000's are plastic...

If you need the pitch range, then get the PDX's, I know there are mod's for the 1200's that will get you +/-10% insted of 8, but then you lose sensitivity.

Techs are the standard, and they pretty much last forever.

hope that helps. :)

pdx's are a lot of fun to use to mix random dance tracks with hardcore easier, the tone arms are better for scratching...but you can get straight tone arms for the m5g's and you have a lil bit of pitch range (+/-16)

i prefer m5g's, which are the 12's i prefer to play on; but i know several people who prefer the pdx's. you get several more options for turntablism on the vestax's...the only function i like on them other than ability to pitch a record crazy is the push button reverse. I installed a reverse switch on my 12's but it's still not as quick.

Get the technics because they are the standard in all clubs and if you can't mix using the decks in a club then how do you expect to DJ live?

totally, you want to get Technics. I have never had a pair myself but I know many people who do have and they say they are great. I have mixed a few times on them and they are really cool, so I would go Technics....

Is that Your Final Answer

Yes Chris...Technics!

I would go with technics if your mixing hardcore, I only like using vestax when im mixing hardstyle or techno cuz of the extra speed. The 1210's are a very solid deck with a very solid feel and (in my eyes anyway) are the better decks.

Depends how you like your decks doesn't it. I find the SL10's ( all versions ) to be quite heavy on the plate, which is what I like. I also like the Numark TT 100's which are very similar to Technics but they are slightly lighter on the plate.
