I'm going to get a new microphone (begin celebrations!)
I'm weighing up between these 2:
Sony ECM-MS907 Unidirectional Microphone
Sony ECM-DS70P Single-point stereo T-mic
I'm not sure.
I want to get some sweet stereo separtion for sampling, but I want something good for vocals too.
Which one should I get?

They both suck, do not get them... if want voice recording and you can afford it:

Yeah, that Rode's baby is a killer mic.
Thats my dream, to record an album with that mic, its soo friggin mad.
I just want one for sampling, but if I should save my money for something else, thats fine.

I've got the Rode NT1. Oficially its a "budget" mic, but please please don't let that put you off...... it has a really nice sound to it, and although not quite as warm as the NT2000 the sound can be warmed up afterwards. You need to consider where your going to be using the mic though. If its purely for sampling in the studio, get something like the NT1 (can double up as vocal mic as well as sampling) but if your going to go round doing weird stuff like recording the sound a daffodil makes as an elephant farts on it you'll want something a bit more sturdy like an SM58. As well as the NT1 I also have a cheapish Dynamic mic (I paid £20 in Maplin for it - half price) which is pretty reasonable..... With dynamic mics though they don't have the same high end response (do mics have responses?) but can be better on low end sounds like kick drums as they can take more abuse (they aren't as sensitive). Its well worth having both a condenser and a dynamic mic IMO.
Also, don't forget your going to need some form of pre-amp and maybe a compressor if you don't already have one.
Also..... stereo seperation? Is it really worth sampling in stereo? I personally have always preferred sampling in mono and placing the sample in the stereo field exactly where I want them.... just a thought.
