hello people lostit here just to let you know that im still around and i want to know ?? just HOW long ago did happy hardcore start? im a new happy hardcore fan so i dont know much about them but the point is how long did they start me need to know??
i know im alive but why??? my face has been forever sealed behind the mask

Hardcore music started to get happy around 94-95

Happy Hardcore was thought to be started with a track by Slipmatt called SMD. It was either liked or hated in the hardcore rave scene at the time (93').
It sort of began the division between happy hard and drum and bass. The hardcore/gabber influence of the distorted kickdrums aand stabs came from the dutch scene whereas the english scene before 1993 was exclusively breakbeat based hardcore.
In my oppinion, Vibes and Wishdoktas - Midsummer midst is a tune that acurately reflects the division that began between drum and bass and happy hardcore.

Form the acid house scene, the musci started to split up into two. There was the happy side that bands like q-tex, ultrasonic, ratpack who were bringing out the happier side to dance music, then there people like grooveryder and co who started off the jungle scene. The darker side of dance. But real happy harecore did start to evlove from 2 step hardcore into 4 beat about 94, and by 95 it all started coming in.
