I got this mixer in a Stanton Bundle package and I realized that If I was a hip-hop DJ who didn't care about sound then I would have kept it.
I am looking for a mixer with as many knobs(hi,mid, low) as possible. Best would be 4 channel, 3 is ok, and 2 is good as well(if there is an option to switch between phono and line).
Also, the Master output doesn't put out any "juice" at all I have to turn my speakers all the way up to get some sound to come out and at a party its even worse.
So a mixer with lots of knobs, a smooth fader, multiple channels, and alot of juice. Oh and a nice price.
Also carts...ive got Stanton 520SK good for scratching but bad for hardcore. I can get the Shure MK44-7 or some ortophons for a good price...but Im worried that when I cue up records I may damage the needle.
If I want to spend no more than $200 on the mixer and $110 on needles what would u all suggest.

this actually sounds like the wires are dodgy/dirty/incorrectly fitted. Try fiddling around or nicking someone elses. Clean your needles and vinyls and see if thats any better.

either needle cleaning crap, or just wipe them with a very soft cloth...not a tea towel ;)
However, do NOT i repeat do NOT run your finger along it. This is how my needle was broken.
