I've had my new headphones a couple of weeks and I have to say.... I'm a little dissapointed
I managed to get a pair of Technics RPDJ 1210's for 60 quid, which I thought was a bargain, closest to that price i'd seen was 90ish so a thought I was getting a good deal.
First impressions were good, they look really nice, like "propper dj". I changed my mind after a few uses.
1. Too much distortion at high level, prob as good as 50quid sony's but nowhere near HD25 Sennies.
2. No suppression of outside noise, almost none at all, Sowhere near HD25 and I think only suitable for bedroom use.
3. Don't clamp tight enough to my head.
On the plus side the ear cups are pretty adjustable
Anbody else got these phones? what do you think of em. If not what do you use.
I think next time i'll bite the bullet and get the Sennies.

Yeah I have the Technics for the last 5 years but they could not handle the volume levels I needed anymore (they got old), I bought about 2 months ago the sony's (silver :) ).... I still like the Technics... when I bought them they were the only real DJing headphones I could find.

Ive got the Technics 1200 headphones which are the black ones. I think they are prett good actually. I like the Sonys and the Sennheisers too but these were just a lot cheaper for me to get and imo more comfortable than the sonys. ( and less prone to breaking than the sennheisers )

I'm going to buy a pair of Sennheiser HD-25's next week, cause the right side of my (almost new!) Numark HF125 headphones quit on me. Crap!

I dont DJ, but i'll answer anyway :)
I have at home Sennheiser HDR-45, witch are pretty cool. They are wireless so i can walk around the house, but the bad side is the battery (only lasts like 3 hours, then i have to charge it again, witch takes hours).
and outside home
Sony MDR-Q33, these are the best ones with Walkman. I even bought the newer ones (MDR-Q55SL), but they are pretty shit, soundquality is only little better, but they are very hard to put on my ear. Although they look better. I also have the oldest Sony's "Street Style" ones (MDR-G52), but after an hour or two my ears and head start to hurt when i use them.
