This may be a dumb question to ask but how exactly do DJs um...mix? music? Is that the term? Like how are remixes made?

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger...then it hit me!

Start one track, sync another track in your headphones, bring the volume up on the second track so they are playing at the same time, if you got the timing right your mixing!

In glasgow there is a guy called dj joe and on one of his cds he remixes tracks, but he has loads of tunes mixed in together! Each tune is mixed in then another one kicks in straight away! How can u do that?

He plays quite a few styles, some oldies like True Love but alot are mixes of tunes ie "hand in hand vs only if i had one more" and a lot of his tunes have roof is on fire, Supa Dupa Fly, and BlaBlaBla etc mixed into them!

You need to go up to his house in drumchapel to get them which is a rite bastard seein as i live on the other side of the city! I only heard the cd from a mate and i rarely see him!

Think a no the 1 u're talkin about. Djing's good but not really my style. A don't mind the on a mission and only if i had 1 more samples but the floorfilla 1's piss me off and the tunes are sometimes cheesy as fuk. But that's the stuff most youngsters in Glasgow like and if it gets them into hardcore then it's a good thing. I'm more into the trancey new happy hardcore and bouncy makina coming out cos it's jus as bouncy but more futuristic sounding and less cheesy.
