this has probably come up b4 but do u think that cds r takin over as the top format for djs? i no alot of djs have started using cds but have they comletely converted or r they just using them 4 th odd tune? I wud h8 to c vinyl die out? personally i like the feel of vinyl. wots every1s views?

I personally use both. I try and get everything on vinyl but a lot of stuff is just easier to get or only available on cd.
I think most of the top djs are now using cds a lot more because it is a lot easier and cheaper to get promos on cd than on vinyl.
I dont think vinyl will die out any time soon though, its just too much of a tradition isnt it

Totally agree with Steve O, much prefer the sound, feel and crackle of vinyl. Think it's much warmer sounding but must admit it seems cd's are becoming more practical. Not gonna convert yet but might think about getting 1 cd deck for tunes i can't get on vinyl.

i wonder how long it will be till they stop making vinyl because of shortages of the matirel that is used to make it...
