Hi all, just a post with regards to mixing, and how much time & effort do you all put into it? I'm going to try and push myself more & practice & try to improve my mixing. I'm on the 1210s today for the first time in god knows how long. I was just interested to see how much time & effort everyone else puts into it?! i know growing up always has an effect, everyday life etc. when i was in my teens & early 20s, i was on the decks every day! now im lucky if its twice a month!

For the past year or so, I've been on a semi regular scratching routine. Mixing, I try to get some done, but sometimes feel I've worked long enough on beatmatching (which was my main focus since like forever).

Though by the looks of current standards, beatmatching seems like a waste of time, it also kind of seems like an ancient superpower now. lol!

I'm still on 1200's with DVS. But my mixer has really taken a beating this past year.

Ah, cool, that you're still on the 1210s! I don't go on mine as often as id like, maybe once every 4 to 5 months? I must admit I do use digital over my technics, as I have 2 CDJ-2000s too. I've never tried using DVS or the likes, how do you find it? It boggles my mind how it actually works haha!

The only thing I don't like about DVS is the use of stylus (unless you have "phase", which I don't) with the vinyl. Mostly because of the wear and tear. other than that it's still a dream come true to be able to spin my own tracks as though they were pressed on vinyl.
