Found out a few days back that Dave (DJ Fade) Edge passed away. Kelly (vocalist who worked with him) mentioned it on my YouTube channel. Seems to have went underneath the radar within the scene tho. Nobody really seemed to be aware. A few are now, including the likes of Bananaman.
This apparently happened last year. No further details at this time of writing, however it's incredibly sad. He was one of my all-time favourite producers. Been listening to his music since 1995.
All the collaborations he done with the likes of Bananaman, and DJ Brisk were legendary. His engineering work for Vinylgroover and DJ Storm. As well as countless others. A real pioneer back then.
When he joined up with the Next Gen crew in 2000 that was an amazing era. Those 3 years or so were phenomenal. He was knocking them out the park. Radio Rockin, Skillz & Stylez, Fly With You, For Yer Face, Mobotron, Believe In Me, Stay Here Forever etc etc.

Just done some digging on this and it looks like it's true, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Fade's music was always my favourite ever since I got into Hardcore, and he was a really friendly guy when I met him at Bust An Old Jam in London a few years ago.
I can't believe this hasn't been spoken about before now. He's such an important part of the history of our music
Rest in peace, thanks for everything dude x

RIP, really sad to be honest.
Fade was an amazing producer... I didn't know him personally but I worked with him when I was doing the hardcore tsunami / tunez CD releases with Rumour Records years and years ago.

I haven’t seen one major artist post about this, which I find odd, especially considering how important Fade’s contributions to producing and engineering were for Hardcore/Happy Hardcore. Also, the amount of artists he’s worked with, yet not one post from any of the major players.

Especially Bananaman. They've must had some kind of contacts in 2022 considering they worked with DJ Al Storm to release the Fade & Bananaman Anthologies (3rd collection released in 2022)

Wow sad news, the guy was one of the true legends of hardcore and I pretty much loved everything he was involved in, been discovering and playing more of his early tracks in recent mixes, rip.
