Don't know if this is the right place to ask but does anybody know what synth/ or similar sounding sample is used for the main riff? Thanks.

I've no idea of the origin of this synth, I've often wondered myself. It was used in hundreds of tracks back in the day, and continues to be used in old skool productions even now.
