Can anyone recomend a good mixer up to about £300 to go with me new 1210's? I like to scratch alot and if it makes any difference most of me vinyl are happy hardcore from around 96-99.
I was looking at a Gemini one with a digital sampler, anyone got one?

samplers are never really good quality unless you pay through the nose for a mixer.
anything by vestax would be my choice for that price

Il second that. If your looking for a good mixer to scratch with look no further than the PMC 05 ( or 06 ) quality mixer even used by the scratchmaster SY himself.

The pioneers are good but the faders are not as good as on the vestax. Rane are around 600 quid. Allso find that the Vestax pcv 275 is a good mixer if your gonna mixing trance, but wouldnt reccomend it for hardcore. defo not if your gonna be scratching. I had a look at this when i went and bought my mixer and the faders really let me down.

Fraid i cant say the faders on numarks are any good. Not as nice to use and dont last too long. still they make some descent mixers

I also wanted to know what a good mixer was. Lately, I've been torn between a Vestax or the PPD01. I've heard good stories about both, but no bad stories about Vestax. I heard the PPD01 is really faulty and breaks down a lot. So I'm almost certain I'm going to get a Vestax.

I just need suggestions on which ones are really good. I'm looking for one that I don't have to replace for years to come.

If you want reliable get vestax.

Either that or fork out an extra 200 quid for a pioneer or a rane.

Numark are descent mixers but the fact is the do break down. And gemini are just plain poor quality now.

i have a PPD01, they fuxing rock! hehe

the faders are awesome, unlike the ones on the other Numarks (as these are digital) they're so smooth! (i had an EM260 before and the kaoss pad broke, but thats another story, point is, those faders sucked and these dont lol)

however mines broke twice, both times being somthing to do with the corss fader - personally i think it is Numark UK messing me around, so now im in america and dealing with numark america...no problems as of yet

PS: the effects are great too - not a bad price for what you get if you ask me.

the problem is that the PPD01 is the first of its kind (totally digital) - so any faults should hopefully be written out in any later version (whenever they get round to that)

If you can afford it... buy a vestax.... when it comes down to it it's about sound quality and not what features a mixer has or hasn't

Exactly, its the sound and build quality that matters.

Otherwise all the top clubs and djs would be using behringer or gemini :)
