Hi All,
Just a bit of research here.... is there still any demand for new hardcore vinyl? A limited press of white labels?
Prices to produce vinyl are huge these days compared to 20 years ago when I last did it.
Is there still a market for a limited white label run of some modern hardcore music?
What would be a fair price for it with postage? Would people buy direct?

I still prefer digital or CD over Vinyl. Sure, a vinyl is still nice to own, but I prefer quality over nostalgia

There has been a resurgence of (hardcore) vinyl being released in the last few years I think, but I would say it?s mainly early to mid 90s hardcore re-releases, remixes or new tunes that are based on the sound from around that era, check out kniteforce, they release a lot of great tracks, what I would call breakbeat/hardcore/very early happy hardcore tracks. Each release is usually vinyl and digital, but you can?t get the digital version without also buying the vinyl. They have also repressed some Hectic Records, JAL tracks etc.
I personally wouldn?t say that there is a market for newer sounding hardcore tracks to be released on vinyl, mainly due to most people wanting just the digital versions and expecting to pay only a few quid.

uk hardcore was at its peak say 2004-08. take raverbaby for example how many pressings would each release get? 3/4000? as the later releases was limited to 1000
and how many would the smaller labels do i.e raw elements
im sure any new (hardcore) vinyl is now about 12-18 GBP per track. (which i understand as they cant sell as many) so probs only press 500/750. i might be wrong on this tho. just what ive got in my head
back when vinyl was all the rage its was 5-7 GBP per track
also i still buy vinyl.. new and old. more skill needed to mix it ;)

I could potentially be interested. I still love collecting vinyl and mixing it (albeit not as good as I used to be able to). I would usually pay around ?20 - ?30 for new makina vinyl, usually with 2 to 4 tracks on per vinyl

Not for upfront UK Hardcore, I wouldn't think.
Jungle and Breakbeat Hardcore. Yes, most definitely!
