This is probably a stupid question, but would it not have been possible for everyone to do their mix at the same time, and then just have someone else mix the sets together digitally once they're submitted?

Yes it would be possible. but then it's not all done by the participants.
I prefer this way as it's more natural.
I care about quality and if there are 2 tracks that just don't go there is no way to fix it in post.
This is a show of what the DJs can do not a computer.
If you are waiting for this to come out I would suggest listening to the winter one if you haven't already.

Announcement.
There is a new member joining the mix. They are a member of this site and I feel as we had some cancelations it would be good to encourage someone younger to have a go at it.
So I have assisted with getting things ready for him to record and he will go before Samination.
We are almost at the end of the mix now.
Thank you everyone for being so quick in your mix submissions so far. Especially as I ran over time during my own section and had to take 2 weeks off in the middle of the process. I estimate a few more weeks until release. I will do basic art as to get the mix out as fast as possible. Technically Autumn doesn't start until the 22nd of September so if it's released before then it's still a summer mix. Hopefully we can get it done during this final push. I am putting the mix together as I get sections so once I get the final section it's a case of adding the section and uploading.
From what I have heard it's a very good mix so far.

The mix is complete
It will be released to participants and the person who payed for the artwork to download at 4PM BST on Saturday 12th September.
Then 2 Hours later at 6PM BST it will go live for all to listen to.
Public download links won't be available for a while.
Participants are fully encouraged to upload it themselves to all their platforms, Even if an upload already exists there.
I really hope more people will do it than did last time.
Artwork, Description, tracklists and the mix in WAV, FLAC and MP3 will be provided.
A tracklist file will be made publicly available, I suspect the full tracklist won't fit in the description's of most platforms. Uploader's can add the link to the .TXT file if the tracklist won't fit in the description.

Good stuff. I will add it to my accounts no problems at all. Looking forward to hearing the finished article. I tried to avoid reading the tracklist too, so I can hopefully hear some new tracks and things I haven't heard for a while

I didn't make anything for the mix. If I feel forced or have no motivation, my results tend to feel bad. Even though I manages to do some tracks, I didnt feel like I could add any more, nor did what I had already added feel right, so I told MusicILove that I wont be able to make my part within the 5 day limit :(

That's a shame. I must admit my section of the mix was basically just thrown together. I couldn't get my first mix to sit right with the previous persons track. I wasn't 100% happy with the outcome but with work and the time frame, i just had to basically say "that will have to do". That said, I am looking forward to hearing the whole mix
